Mark Tranthim-Fryer, Education.au
detailsEducation Network Australia (edna) released edna Groups in 2005, which has now grown into a diverse network of over 1200 communities with 15,000 members encompassing all sectors of teaching and learning.
Groups is based on the open source learning management system Moodle, and now includes a wide range of collaborative tools such as wikis, blogs, web conferencing, podcasting and social networking applications.
This session will explore the successes and growing pains of this community network, and experiences in the use of emerging social software and web 2.0 applications.
